Tekka is the culmination of fifteen years of custom millwork experience through Anthill Studio — designing and building for Vancouver homes, learning what works, and understanding where conventional approaches consistently fall short.
In 2016 that understanding produced Atlas, our first modular wall system, presented at IDS West. It was a promising beginning. It was also instructive in its limitations, and we used those lessons to build something more resolved. Tekka has been in development and in-house use since 2018, refined through real projects and rigorous manufacturing investment until it met the standard we set for it.
The system operates on a shared dimensional logic — a framework of precision-engineered components spanning storage, work, living, and sleep, composable in any combination without loss of coherence or quality. It offers the considered design and finish quality associated with custom millwork, delivered within a process that is faster, more accessible, and far less uncertain.
Every Tekka unit is built to order. Materials are selected for longevity. Fabrication tolerances reflect a custom standard. This is not furniture conceived for obsolescence — it is furniture conceived for the long term, for clients who know the difference and expect it.
